Our daughters love to go to Dana’s class each week. She creates a supportive environment that fosters their creative spirits and allows them to learn and accomplish new things to be proud of. They excitedly report on what they’ve made and will be able to bring home next week. We look forward to more classes in the future!

Dana’s is a safe, joyful, focused, creative space where the kids can go explore ceramic arts with professional guidance and caring supervision. I see Dana and her assistant, Joel, encourage each student to find and embrace their own visions, and to create work that each child is excited about. They offer ideas, suggestions, and training with a relatively light touch so the kids seem to feel a sense of control and freedom to try different things. Dana and Joel are also attune to helping kids learn to navigate the inevitable frustrations and disappointments with grace and persistence. I am so happy we connected with Dana and can’t wait for fall programs to start back up again!

Dana is an attentive teacher who sees and nurtures the potential in all of the students she works with. My oldest, who is a serious visual artist, attended Dana’s ceramics class for nearly a year and came home happy, confident, and inspired after each session. My youngest, who enjoys art but doesn’t consider herself a visual artist, enjoyed Dana’s sessions because of the time she spent with her peers, the nurturing Dana offered, and the confidence she gained. I was always delighted at pick up to see the work my children had completed and see the other children and families creating community around Dana’s class. She is providing more than just a ceramics class.

Our kids have attended Dana’s classes for the last 4 years. Out of all their different after schools activities, this is the one they’ve enjoyed the most. Dana is the best: patient, open to their ideas, always encouraging them. She has helped unleash their creativity and become little artists. They were always excited to show us what they had made, and showcase them in their bedroom (shelves are FULL). All is done in a fun and informal environment. We always felt good about signing them up as we knew they would be in good hands.

We have been a part of Dana Zed’s pottery program for the last 4 years and it’s been an incredible experience. First our eldest started and then our youngest joined in on the fun. It’s been really cool to see how Dana inspires the kids every week to create something new and exercise their creativity. They teach with patience and kindness and our girls can’t wait to go every week.
